If you have been listening to the show you have noticed the missing voice of one of the all-time greats, Jason Rogers. I was compelled to return because I could not, in good conscience, be responsible for the enormous emotional damage to our faithful listeners by not hearing my expert opinions and spine-tingling insights. Over the past couple of months, I have been preoccupied with moving my family to Myrtle Beach and re-opening my restaurant, but now that I am situated, I am ready to return to my favorite subject, politics.
In case you do not recognize my humor, I was joking about the “Radio King” stuff, at least as far as you know. During my absence, there have been seen weird and tragic things happening in the country, and I’m not just talking about Congress. Who would have ever thought they would read a news article about someone eating the face of another human being and being shot by police because he would not stop? That was in Florida, then it happened again in Louisiana! Come to find out that “bath salts” are the problem and that is just when we thought Meth was the worst. I guess now more people will be purchasing the Zombie Survival Guide. And more recently we had a guy made up like the Joker go into a movie theater and just start randomly shooting people. It was the midnight showing of the new Batman movie, which was excellent by the way, and we still do not know what he did it for.
These incidents just back up a theory I have had about America for some time. I believe that over the past several decades the overall mood in America has become more tense causing a drastic rise in conditions such as depression and anxiety. We have seen millions of Americans take various prescription drugs, which often have tremendous side-effects, just so that they can sleep at night and function properly during the day. Then the recession hits adding an unbearable burden on people who were already struggling to survive causing some people to snap. I believe we will see more of these incidences. What is your theory?
