On this week’s show, we tackled a number of topics in an kind of “rapid fire” manner
First, we talked power, as in energy.
-Shell decides to end their drilling in the Chukchi Sea, Alaska.
-Elon Musk unveils a new way to power your home.
We then moved on to Pope Francis’s visit to the U.S. and his historic speech before a joint session of Congress
(He managed to make both sides unhappy)
This past Saturday was the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure here in Greenville and we, at Another Voice, had a great team. We had a couple of guys from Occupy the Microphone:
Gorgeous Gregg and Double A, the Rock and Roll Diehard (Pictured with Jonthan)
CJ showed us all how to really do the Race for the Cure. He, not only ran it, he finished in 6th place.
Family was there as well,
my daughter, Jeni and the reason for my involvement, my mom (Again, there’s Jonathan)
Jonathan, of course, was there
and finally, I was there.
The Race had great turnout:
Let’s do this again next year!
This week’s show was all about the relationship between the police and us and how it has changed over the past decades, what things might need to change, and what we can do.
Obviously, there is far more to explore than we were able to do in one podcast, so we will revisit this topic again in the future.
Don’t forget to join our team for Race for the Cure here. The Race is this Saturday at the Heritage Park in Simpsonville. Come help us make a difference in our community by raising funds for breast cancer research and for ensuring every woman that needs a mammogram can get one.
We began this week’s show discussing regulations and the seeming inconsistent use of them by some in our community.
We tried to understand how folks can complain regularly about how regulations are bad, crushing the life out of business and yet cheer and applaud when these same types of regulations are used to close down places they oppose.
We also dove into the growing attack against the #BlackLivesMatter movement as a hate group and as a group fostering a war on police.
There is still time to join our Race for the Cure team. Just click here to join.
