The Gang of Eight’s comprehensive immigration reform hits a wall of Republicans who are demanding that the border be 100% before anything else is considered.

The IRS is in a world of trouble as the Cincinnati office targeted conservative groups for delays and extra scrutiny when they applied for non-profit status.

Today, we looked at balancing residential life and the nightlife in downtown Greenville,

took a few minutes to preview tomorrow’s vote for the District 1 congressional seat.

We also agreed with Sen. Jackson’s proviso currently in the budget to require no junk food in the Governor’s mansion

We weighed in on the ethics reform legislation that passed the House and now is before the Senate in Columbia.

While encouraging listeners to look beyond the cable news networks, we dispelled a recent story of a “War on Christianity.”

Finally, hearing that the #8 most dangerous neighborhood in the country is right here in Greenville, the Woodside community, we talked about working with all manner of groups to make a change.

We started today’s show with looking beyond the stereotype of SNAP with an interview with a local single mother and her experience with food stamps.

Then we updated the race for U.S. House District 1.

We spent some time discussing what our Legislature is working on in Columbia,
and we finished the show with a brief discussion on nullification.

Rides for Strides hits a Rain Delay!

With heavy rain predicted for Saturday and Sunday, the organizers of Rides for Strides decided to postpone tomorrow’s Ride. The new date for Rides for Strides will be June 1, 10:00 am-3:00 pm

Let’s turn this delay into a recruiting bonanza. How many people were you able to register to ride? Can you double that in a month? What about sponsors? Can you double them as well? I think we can.

Let’s let this downpour result in an outpouring of donations for Strides Tutoring. Our children need us, so between now and June 1st, let’s make the donations flood on in.
